Designer's Tour

Annual ASID event will feature remodeled homes close to I-5

A self-guided tour of seven recently remodeled residences is being presented by the
San Diego Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) next Saturday
from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Highlights include a Mediterranean-style Rancho Santa Fe estate
that features an indoor potting area and other personal touches; a 70-year old Point Loma
home that has been painstaking restored with period-correct materials, colors and case-
work; and several tract homes from the ‘80s, ‘90s and post-2000 that have been
customized, opened up and reconfigured.

Professional designers will be at each location to discuss design challenges and solutions
and answer questions. “The tour showcases masterful solutions for clients who yearned for
more space, style, openness, outdoor orientation, eco-friendly materials and updated looks,”
said April Worrell, ASID, chair of this year’s tour. “The homes are conveniently
located along Interstate 5 from Point Loma to Carlsbad.”
